safety first, kids...

so ive had this idea in my head for a while, and it came out on paper today.
ive been mixing two characters from different storylines in a lot of my doodles recently, and this one involves a spartan from Halo and Shikamaru from Naruto.

ever notice how only once in the whole anime/manga has anyone blocked / deflected something using the forehead PROTECTOR, or is it just me?

this was done with a black pen (no pencil ) and hastily filled in with colored pencils.
i got bored afterwards though (no, im not ADD...), so i just drew a line in the background for horizon. wee~

EDIT:
i changed it to advanced critique... so tear it up!
(just keep in mind that i drew with no pencil, and that i was lazy with the background ^_^)

oh, and i havent really done much serious coloring with colored pencils before, so i could use some tips or whatever.
